The edition
It all starts on a ship. People crossing the ocean looking for work, and sacks of coffee travelling to keep a market going. Before there is a style, there is movement.
Each station pairs a moment in tango with a stage of coffee. The Afro roots are the flowering: what holds everything up is barely visible. The tenement is the cherry, sweet and direct. The great orchestras of the forties are the fermentation, where character is set. Piazzolla is the first crack. Today's tango is the grind.
On the table there are beans to touch, aromas to open and a logbook to write in. Listening and the cup go together.
