Expectation
Knowing which coffee you're about to drink changes what you perceive. Origin, process, roast level, what you were told before it was served: all of that enters the cup before the coffee.
It isn't suggestibility. It happens to trained people too, below the level of conscious decisions.
In the living we don't want to remove it. Hearing where a coffee comes from is part of drinking it. But the first sip, before the story, is the only one that's just coffee.
